Teak Sealer – Step 2
Teak Sealer is for long-term protection of Teak against rapid weathering, UV, dirt, stains, deterioration and ageing of the wood. The polymers render the wood waterproof (while still letting it breathe) and prevent it from becoming black. The raw material (Tectona Grandis Resin) ensures the optimum protection without discolouration.
Our Sealer is a resin based Sealer which feeds the Teak with its own raw natural materials (a water/oil based Sealer doesn't mix with or penetrate the Teak)
Please note, if you wish your Teak to remain the Silver/Grey colour do not apply the Sealer. You can use the Cleaner & Restorer to clean the Teak, which will go to a light golden Teak colour, but after a couple of weeks will go back to the Grey Patina.
We do not recommend the use of Teak Oil as it isn't as effective as Teak Sealer, and can create Black Spots/Blemishes if not used properly.
We recommend Sealer to be applied 2-3 times a year.
